Quiche with Friends

Hello and Welcome!

Mike and I recently took a trip out to Ohio to visit with some friends. We had a lovely time, caught up with each other, went hiking, toured the art museum, and just all around had fun! For Saturday morning breakfast, my friend Melissa Adams made us the most delicious quiche for breakfast and allowed me to photograph her process and share it with you lovely folks! She brought her own spin to this one here, and it was so good! Disclaimer! I’d never had quiche before this day! 🙂 Needless to say, I’ll be making my own pretty soon!

The great thing about a quiche is that you can make it entirely your own! The ingredients I’ll list below are what we used and are just a starting point for all the combinations you can make! Our quiche served 4, and we finished the entire thing!

The Quiche itself is a simple recipe, so I’ll go more photo focused for today. Click here for recipe card.

Let’s get going!

Ingredients:

  • 6 eggs
  • Refrigerated pie crust (go bold and make your own if you want!)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Green onion
  • Broccoli (about a cup)
  • Cheese
  • ¾ cup Milk
  • Sausage (about a cup, but as much as you want)

The business of quiche making:

  • Preheat your oven to 375℉.
  • Wash and prep your veggies of choice then give everything a rough chop (we’re looking for roughly bite sized pieces).
  • Unroll pie crust into your pie pan of choice. You can edge however you like, we went with a fork crimp.
  • Crack your eggs into a large bowl and, like you’re making scrambled eggs, whisk together milk, eggs, salt, and pepper.
  • Add your veggies, cheese, and meat into the egg bowl and give everything a good mix.
  • Pour into your pie pan and bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes. You are looking for a complete set with the egg mix, very little jiggle.
  • Let your delicious masterpiece set and cool for about 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Enjoy! Bon Appétit!
